The project comprised of repairs and repainting of the roof purlins and rafters due to flaking paint entering, and contaminating the pool within the building, as well as repairs to various roofing components and steel installations throughout.
Two main issues presented themselves in these works;
Access to the roof area over the pool
Provision of suitable protection to the pool area.
To overcome such issues PCB devised the supply and installation of a deck traversing the entire pool capable of providing a sound and safe work platform, whilst not requiring any central support in the pool itself. This was achieved through the use of scaffolding erected in a ‘cantilever’ fashion.
All works were completed without issue and to schedule, to the satisfaction of the client.
